Hydronics Heated Water Special Interest Group - HHW SIG
The inaugural meeting was held in Melbourne in October 2009. The next meeting will convene in Melbourne on 26 May 2010. If you are a member make sure you have registered your interest to be advised of meetings.
AIM
· To promote hydronic systems though market education, government support and technical information as a lower energy alternative to fan forced gas heating or reverse cycle AC.
· To support hydronic systems through provision of an installation code and training programme, with a view to certifying installers.
· To collectively support governmental decision makers regarding water heating to ensure support and funding is appropriately distributed
· The group will develop an expertise to consider the relevance of international standards to the Australian hydronics market and efficiency measurement and publication for water heating systems and/or hydronic installations.
· The group will develop links with international bodies promoting hydronic systems, including but not limited to:
UFMA – UK based underfloor heating association
EURay – European Hydronics group
ASHRAE – USA based HVAC association
RPA – USA Radiant Panel Association
